ABOUT US

Shhh... Don't tell your boss, but this place is actually pretty relaxing!

The Salvation Army Eagle's Wing Inn in Angoon, Alaska (formerly known as Favorite Bay Inn) is owned and operated by The Salvation Army as a rustic home away from home for those visiting the community.

The inn has five rooms and two common baths. Lodging comes complete with breakfast prepared by your gracious hosts.

The Salvation Army Eagle's Wing Inn overlooks wildlife views so incredibly scenic that one guest's video -- of a whale surfacing under a floatplane -- went viral on social media.

Why does The Salvation Army run an inn in Angoon? In a community too small to support a profitable Family Store, owning an inn made good sense. The inn, run by Salvation Army Corps Officers (pastors) provides a needed community service as well as a source of income for local community programs. Medical professionals, teachers and others regularly book with us.

What is it like staying at a church-owned inn? Don't worry - there won't be any sermonizing. Our facilities are open to all, without discrimination, and we want you to feel right at home.
